Excellims provides a full range of components, research toolkits and complete turnkey systems for IMS researchers who do not have the time or manpower to build their own systems. Individual components that may be purchased include IMS controllers (standalone or rack mount) that feature multiple power supplies, full function manual control, and advanced ion gate operation that allows manual gate on/off and user control of pulse function input terminal parameters. Controllers also include a full function remote computer control with hardware and software interface to other instruments and an optional second ion gate control.
Excellims also provides high resolution drift tubes with optional Ni63 or Electrospray ionization sources. Excellims VisIonTM software allows complete control of an entire IMS system including electronics and data acquisition and has state of the art analysis routines for peak picking and data presentation.
Research Toolkits include controllers and software that provide everything you need to operate your own proprietary drift tube. Or, we can provide a complete modular system with drift tube, controller and VisIon software. Our high resolution High Performance IMS drift tube can be equipped with the capability to do drift gas modification, essential if you wish to explore the unique capabilities of IMS for chiral separation. Research at Excellims and Washington State University has demonstrated that introducing a chiral modifier into the drift gas can selectively shift the drift times of enantiomers allowing them to be uniquely identified. This technique is ideal for rapid confirmation during method development and for quality control, and opens a whole new world of IMS research on varying the IMS drift gas as a method similar to chromatography for extremely rapid separation.
