Excellims GA2100 HPIMS is the world's first commercial Electrospray IMS, and offers researchers a new rapid chemical separation & identification tool that is much faster in analysis time than HPLC. With the new DirectSprayTM disposable syringe, this robust instrumentation virtually eliminates sample preparation time and is environmentally friendly with no need for large volumes of solvents. It can be easily adapted for at-line analyses and has low operational cost. In addition to the standard ESI ionization source, the GA2100 can also be equipped with a thermal desorber and either corona discharge or Ni63 ionization sources for fast analysis of solid samples. These “snap in” ionization sources are easily interchanged depending on your analytical requirements. The Excellims GA2100 Electrospray HPIMS is the only IMS able to directly analyze liquid samples truly in seconds. With sensitivity in the low picogram range and resolution equal to HPLC and double or triple that of existing commercial IMS instruments, it is ideal for applications that require speed, specificity and sensitivity. Electrospray IMS is ideal for a wide range of applications including general chemical analysis, pharmaceutical cleaning verification, polymer analysis, direct water analysis, etc. In many application areas, electrospray IMS can be used instead of HPLC; it is much faster than HPLC and method development is easily accomplished as typical analyses are complete in seconds. And without the need for expensive toxic solvents, the GA2100 has much lower operating costs. The GA2100 may also be used as a selective and sensitive detector for other separation methods as part of a hyphenated technique.
