Our compact, high performance, integrated ion mobility mass spectrometry device, combines ambient pressure high performance ion mobility technology with a patented intelligent vacuum system. The MC3100 is an integrated ion mobility-MS instrument with high ion mobility resolution and better than unit mass resolution in a small footprint, bringing the power of IMS out of the lab. Operators who need high quality chemical detection can now deploy it where it is needed most, for example at the point of care for clinical applications.

For many applications, particularly for human samples in clinical diagnostics (for Research Use Only), samples are increasingly complex. Regardless, you need to quantify target molecules from among millions of others. The MC3100 separates and isolates the right compounds. 

Traditional liquid or gas chromatography combined with mass spectrometry has limitations for practical application as point of care systems. HPIMS overcomes this. These traditional technologies separate molecules based on the polarity or molecular weight of the molecule. However, IMS can separate molecules from a different angle, the molecular size (collisional cross-section) which provides a powerful tool that is equal to, or better than an HPLC, to separate molecules in a complex mixture and let you detect what was previously undetectable in your samples.
